Ruben Esquivel

Ruben Esquivel is a fifth-generation Austinite and multidisciplinary artist, deeply connected to his Latino and Indigenous heritage. Specializing in large-scale portraiture, his work celebrates the resilience and beauty of people of color and Indigenous communities. Through his art and activism, Ruben strives to amplify marginalized voices and foster positive change in his community.

The only thing that shines brighter than Ruben’s beautiful, breathtaking artwork, is who he is as a human.

He puts so much effort and love into every stroke, and the range, depth, and detail in his murals brings something truly unique, spiritual, and magical to the community.

We’re honored to feature many of his pieces in the district.
